The Map

We are far from finishing this map, and will not be putting a download for the time being. This is a record of our progress and hopefully inspiration for others if doing dense small scale cities in a fictional universe.


Centerdale Plains Story

Centerdale Plains is a fictional town a mate and I are working on, filled with lore and fun details.

The River Osk meanders around the edge of the town, first meeting the ancient town of Oskbank, before heading to the East Centerdale Docks. These Docks are in decline, once a bustling center of industry and trading. This is served by an old railway once used for transporting goods and is now struggling with its competitor Centerdale Plains Central Railway to the West taking travellers to the Eira Mountain Settlement.

In the middle of Centerdale, there is a town hall and market square, with a library, hospital, police station with prison, church, adventurer's shop, storehouse, cafe, restaurant, pub with B&B and the town's University. There is also the Billeon Bros. Estate Agent, which serves the Redmore Estate to the East of the Market Square and west of East Centerdale Docks.

To the north there are the ruins of an ancient castle and in a secret underground location there is a huge secret society network, that discretely governs all the nefarious goings on on the surface.
