Important: use Conquest Reforged 1.12.2 and preferably shaders with this map.

I created a (medieval) representation of the famous château de Chenonceau. The château is built on the Yarowyn map made by Lord Dakr, the only (cr) map I could find with a wide enough river. Unfortunately, the map size is therefore rather large.

At first I tried to stay as faithful to the original as possible, but that turned out to be impossible due to the architect's inability to draw in straight lines.

Furthermore, the only floorplans/maps I could find are from this century, in which several buildings (and gardens) have been turned into shops, restaurants and parks. I converted these buildings to medieval shops and flower/vegetable gardens.

I did not include the 16th century farm and its gardens, as seen on this map, because I couldn't bear the soul crushing of expanding the forest even further. For this reason, I also moved the maze to the right side of the path.

Future work

• None of the interiors are currently finished.
• I don't like the texture of the 'walls' bordering the river and canals, so I might redo them.
• There is some terraforming work to do by the river and at the edges of the forest.
