well, the day/night sensor is COOL, but otherwise, i made a simple lighthouse with the new redstone lamps that the light rotates on with a minecart inside perpetually running on a loop of powered track that runs over track actuators as it goes around making the lamps light up round and round :)

I have lots of suggestions. I don't know if you do pixel art, but try to do a replica of the mine raft website. Other stuff you can do include, a moving vehicle (which by experience I know can't move everywhere, just on a certain path you can make), a digital clock and to design a new mob and make it in wool. (anything like a troll, witch, vampire, whatever)

I challenge you to do the same thing with pistons and LAVA. My friend and I made a lighthouse on a server just like this when we thought about using lava. It's brighter and more difficult to use and I want to know how you would do it.

my Challenge to you: make a tent that assembles out of no where and you can't see the pistons or redstone. And the tent kind of just comes out of the ground, and you can hide it again and none of the blocks of the tent show in the ground. Hopefully you get what I mean! :)
I challange you to make

YOU ARE THE MAN!!!!
I'm not sure why you just didn't use Shadow's grass growth day/night sensor hooked up to itself to do this. The villager AI can go into the 'houses' at day as well as night. Nice use of a five clock >_>

Huh, my comment was removed because I said how to build this.

There are no sensors in Minecraft - he built a day/night cycler, not a sensor. Any person who knows how to use redstone can do this. And come on, dude! We're intellectuals! People with the brain capacity to understand redstone semiconductors shouldn't fight each other over petty rights to a design. We must team up and crush the non-intellectual opposition.

Challenge:
Build a house with mob traps outside, the traps rebuild themselves after and the loot go down a chute into the house. The house has a self lighting system (day-night..blablabla) there are also levers inside the house that you can pull the get mobs away, e.g.: Fires fire charges around your house, fires arrows to get endermen away, also on your roof to get spiders out.

a villager AI makes it go into houses at night, they go out at day, so when it's night, it will go through the door and step off the pressure plate, allowing a redstone torch to turn out. He used an AND gate so that when all the villagers are inside, the torches turn of a torch (or on or whatever) andhe used more redstone to make the light go all around and stuff. It's not that complicated if you know good redstone, but this guy obviously did a good job
