Chiesa di san Ferdinando (Church of Saint Ferdinand) is a Catholic Church in Livorno, Italy. It is located in the Port area on the Viale Caprera/Piazza del Luogo Pio right next to it is the Chiesa del Luogo Pio.
This Church was build in the years 1706-1717 and was named after Ferdinand III. of Castille. It was build by Giovan Battista Foggini in Baroque style, and was Finished by Giovanni del Fantasia in 1717 from which also the be said Other church right next to this one originates from. Although the Facade was never completed.
Although this area (Venezia Nuova) in Livorno was bombed heavily by the Americans in the Second world war. Like a Miracle this Church, unlike many other Churches in Livorno was not damaged. or Destroyed at all. Only the Bell tower was destroyed, and later rebuilt.
The tower is 58m Tall.
