DESCRIPTION:
Welcome to Chrononautica! A map with tons of different timelines to discover and explore! Chrononautica is a short story adventure with over 300 command blocks seamlessly working together to create an unforgettable experience!
DISCLAIMERS:
- It is HIGHLY recommended to play on a chunk view of 8, as certain areas give off a 'bottomless pit' visual. Also helps for loading times!
- There are light horror elements on this map, you have been advised!
- When moving to a new area, you will hear a loud "WHOOP" noise from certain entities spawning in. I am unsure how to fix this and will take suggestions!
- Resource packs may give different appearances and sounds than intended.
LEGAL PERMISSIONS:
You are allowed to record Chrononautica (please do!), however please at least put a link to the map link. Your audience and I would really appreciate it!! What takes players around an hour to play took a single creator around 80 hours to make.
MINECRAFT VERSION:
This map has been created and tested for 1.16.0 to 1.16.5 without mods. I would not recommend running this adventure on earlier versions, as important blocks will be missing. This map is meant for Singleplayer, as more than one player has not been tested. Optifine shaders and resource packs are okay to play with, but I have not extensively tested this and certain sounds may be different.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minecraft 1.16 or newer
- Render Distance: 8 Chunks (This is for certain areas, and will reduce loading times!)
- Enable Sound: This map has sound effects from Minecraft itself
- Setting Brightness to Moody: Certain areas will look better in darker environments
CREDITS:
I hand built everything on the map, but I used tutorials/drew inspiration from all these down below, check them out!
- Rizzial for Suburban Houses and Modern House
- thewalkingwhale for Old west town and Viking town
- Mumbo Jumbo for "unique" redstone
- BlendsCraftTV for flickering light redstone
- Foolish Gamers for sarcophagus
- IrieGenie for ship
- SuperMinecrafz on PlanetMinecraft for 3 suburban houses
- Mevans/ChildWalrus for the LOTR mod, where the Altar design comes from
- GGMc for Japanese Banner designs
- BBlocks for Japanese decorations
- @Paxiti for artwork on one of the areas
- pi314 on planetminecraft for space shuttle
- Minecraft Tools for making command block writing 10 times faster
Most importantly, the creator of this map in Left 4 Dead 2, which was my main inspiration: Time to Die by Kyle the Walrus

I'm impressed you were able to read the Japanese signs, they may be grammatically incorrect as I just translated from google, haha. The Holigost did actually exist, but was dismantled before the exploration of America began. There are a couple secrets on the map, but nothing too intense, just a few areas I think you missed (some of the houses, one of the floors in the building with the katana)
But yeah, thanks again for playing it!
Ah ok! I thought you were Japanese for real when I could not read some of it xD haha
勉強になりました!(I learned something new) I did not know that :p
and thanks again!
