Greetings, Apprentices!
We have finished our first Adventure Map called Shadow of the Light. The map focuses more on exploration, investigation and puzzles, than it does on fighting. Several parts of the map has been designed for two players and it is advised to start playing with a friend.
The map includes an interesting story. In the following section you can read a short prologue of the story:
There are several places where you can leave the game area, but it can easily ruin surprises so it's advised not the leave. While we discourage leaving the game area, we still encourage exploration as there are several hidden chests and puzzles with useful items and pieces of the story.

Pre-Story
- You can't do this!
- I can't? It looks like I'm actually doing it. - said the man in heavy plate armor.
- You will kill us all! - the old man's voice was desperate. He was wearing long robes.
The man stood silently in front of him. His long auburn hair slightly moving as the wind blew around them. He slowly turned around and clapped his hands together and kneeled down. The low murmuring coming from his direction sounded like a prayer. A short time later the ground started to tremble and the man - still kneeling - continued his prayer. The grey haired man struggling with the ropes he was tied to a cross with started shouting.
- Stop it! It won't just disappear, the whole world is made of it. Everything will fade away! You Paladins are fools!
He was able to kick a stone piece at the paladin that fell from the ceilings. The earthquake stopped.
- It looks like we have to execute your judgement earlier if we want to save your soul from sinking any deeper into hell. - said the paladin unsheateing his sword. As the light reflected on it one could see his own soul in it's blade they said.
- I, Friddan Whitehelm, follower of the True One, Grand Crusader of the Emerald Hammer, by my power and the light of the True One will now sentence you-
- You will kill us all!
- to death! - as he finished the his blade has been raised up and a moment later blood was dripping from the edge of his blade. The scarlet overlay somehow made the the weapon look even more shiny. A man stepped into the room. He was wearing the same tabard with a green symbol on it, possibly a hammer. Friddan turned his face to the man.
- Grand Crusader Friddan, what was this shaking?
- Finally, the True One answered to our prayers...
He then returned to his prayer and hell itself has risen.

Further informations:
- Use official Minecraft server version 1.5.2. No bukkit.
- Best played on: Standard (Vanilla) Texture Pack.
- The map is designed for 2 players.
- Make sure to use these gamerules:
- doFireTick = false
- doMobLoot = false
- doMobSpawning = false
- doTileDrops = true
- keepInventory = true
- mobGriefing = false
- Follow the rules:
- It is possible to leave the game-space. Don't do it!
- Don't break any blocks.
- Play on adventure mode.
- Play on normal difficulty.
- If you spawn on the trees, get down to the ground.
- Be kind to the systems. Most of them are made of redstone, so they're a bit slow.
- Please let me know if anything is buggy.

A blocker bug has been detected and solved. The Icestorm Mountain portal now should open it's door at the central hub. Download link updated.
