I got this idea when I was browsing the internet, looking at the various TVs that people have built with redstone torches. I thought, "Wouldn't it be nice to have a color TV in minecraft?" That was the seed of the idea. After a while, I got the idea, to use pistons to push and pull black wool, in order to reveal either blue, green, or red wool. And so, I decided to build it.

I think that I am one of the first ones to come up with this idea. Although there are people that have built color TVs before me, so far I have only seen ones that use mods. Correct me if someone has built one before me.

Update:

I have implemented the memory system that will hold the programming, however even though it is currently only holding 3.6 kilobytes of memory for 10 frames, the size of it is crashing minecraft, so no download yet. On the upper hand, I am almost done with the TV! Just some testing, programming, and aesthetic work to be done.

Second Update:

Due to various bugs, I have so far restarted on the memory 4 times. I think I'm getting there though. Progress is relatively slow due to school, and because I am working on other projects as well.

Comment please. I need suggestions.

To do list:

Program video
Testing and debugging
Aesthetic touches
Audio?
Remove Herobrine

good idea but... it is laggy with all those torches, the pixels do not make picture wen lit (they do but not really well) also it is too big to be practical to something like a computer. keep trying like i said its a good idea just needs work

Dude, the current lag is nothing. You should see my prototype that has memory, it will crash if you look at the wiring in the back for more than 10 seconds. But thanks anyways.

Unfortunately, my TV is a little to big to use your design, since it peaks exactly at the skybox limit, level 127 (if the bottom bedrock layer is 0). But, thanks anyways. I already have a design in my head, and am about to build it.
I don't think that this has ever been built before, at least not in full scale for sure.
