Welcome to Gleamora, a creative playground!
Gleamora s a massive continent featuring multiple biomes and immense landscapes ready for you to build on and explore. Gleamora, including its seas, are over 28km x 22km of hand-curated terrain for you to play with. If you're looking for more realistically scaled terrain with some fantasy elements thrown in, Gleamora is the map for you.
Gleamora is designed for creative/adventure/RPG map makers. It is not survival friendly.
Please read everything before using Gleamora!
Features
Requirements
Distant Horizons & Mods
Gleamora was built to be used with Distant Horizons. Landscapes rely on its impressive render distance to be seen properly. Without it, you won't be able to truly appreciate Gleamora.
Additionally, you will need Sodium, Iris and Continuity (Fabric) to take advantage of shaders and some biome-dependent textures in the included resource pack.
BetterVanillaBuilding/Included resource pack
Gleamora comes bundled with an edited version of BetterVanillaBuilding by stefanj2_ who has kindly allowed me to edit the pack and include it with the download. While you're free to remove the resource pack if you wish to use your own, Gleamora was built with this pack in mind. The pack also includes new textures made by Naflaim: lavender (which replaces red tulip), new fern modens and pampas grass which replaces peony in cherry blossom biomes.

Biome Datapacks
Gleamora features its own biome datapack for custom biomes. This datapack is designed to work only with 1.20.4. Gleamora also features biomes from Paleozoey's Koppen climate datapack, who has kindly allowed me to include it in my datapack. You can download 1.20.1 and 1.21.4 compatible versions here:
1.20.1 datapack download.
1.21.4 datapack download.
Loading the map without any of these required datapacks will replace all custom biomes with plains.

FAQ
Will you make this map survival friendly?
No.
Will you give me the WorldPainter file so I can edit it?
No.
Will you upload a different version?
No.
Why do I get a warning when I open the map?
Gleamora uses custom biomes which is an experimental feature. It's just a Minecraft failsafe, you can ignore the warning.
What's outside of Gleamora?
Vanilla Minecraft! Gleamora's water level is the same as vanilla so you can safely leave Gleamora's oceans and venture off into vanilla.
Why are mineshafts and strongholds different in vanilla Minecraft?
I included some additional datapacks to improve these structures: Hopo Better Mineshaft, Stronghold Update and Updated Dungeons. If you don't like these, you can safely remove them.
Do I REALLY need Distant Horizons and all that?
No, but you will really regret it if you don't use it! You won't even be able to see the peaks of some mountains without a ridiculously high render distance.

1.21.4 compatibility data pack : by Dannypan 01/21/2025 4:38:55 amJan 21st
I've ported the data pack to be compatible with 1.21.4. I had trouble figuring out carvers and spawners for the new data pack format so I simply left them out -- they're not exactly necessary anyway in a pre-made map!
Download the 1.21.4 datapack here. I have not tested it for 1.21 to 1.21.3.
To install, go to the "datapacks" folder in "Continent of Gleamora" and delete all the data packs in there. Then add "Gleamora 1.21.4.zip" to the "datapacks" folder. You will need to do this before opening Gleamora in 1.21.4 for the first time! Best to do this after a fresh download.

Structures don't generate in WorldPainter maps, adding datapacks won't change this unless you add the stuff manually.
