I am proud to present the newest addition to my custom terrain series, the Nether Nightmare. In an effort to keep things as fresh and original as possible I have created this one as a completely customized nether world. This is another project partially inspired by a deviantart landscape painting I found.

The main part of the terrain was all created with the worldpainter program, which is likely the most detailed one I have created yet. Also, for the first time, I actually setup a local server just so I would be able to use the voxelsniper mod for fine detailing in game. I created the map so it has several different sections with a few varying themes involved, including a large mountain, floating islands, lava field, glowstone forest, lava spire, and several others.


Please note that I still consider the map in the early stages of creation, and plan on adding many other small terrain features, misc challenges and lots of hidden items and other content. Any ideas or feedback regarding future or current content would be greatly appreciated.

so...I was excited to download and check out this old project to take inspiration for my own nether biome and I find that it is linked to a dead-end adfly link. Very scummy type. I could not get through to the download at all and tried 5 times. Everything you click takes you to malware sites and fake downloads. Even the click to continue button in the upper-right corner that usually takes you to the proper download took me to a malware site. This is very unprofessional given kids use this site, please fix this :/




EDIT: only the world download does this, the schematic file downloaded fine...weird
