Aha, another creation of mine to once more join the fray of the many things I've made and shared already; a contest entry for the official Minecraft Discord's "Fortnightly Building Challenge" and a fun first attempt at the Cyberpunk theme. I have to say this is definitely one of my favourite builds I've made though, even while it was a theme I'd never done before, and I used similar techniques to those I've already put to use on the Castle of Colour and Light prior. I had great fun with it. :) So I hope it worked out as well as I'd like to others too! :D

There were more things I wanted to add, such as flying cars, a few more holographic displays floating about to go with the giant glowing birds, and perhaps some road systems of their own as well, supported around it all, but I figured if I kept adding more it'd get toooo cluttered and on top of that I've already spent pretty long for a fortnightly contest anyway so I'll stop where I am for now. :) I quite like how it turned out already and that's enough for me. It was worth it for me.

The build consists of a handful of different structures mixed and merged into a city, with little alterations between each one to differentiate the same hand-built creations while still not taking too absurdly long on something that otherwise would be a lottt of hand-building, and the bird - in an arguable act of skillful inability that I'm not exactly pleased with... xD - was fully hand-built so... that one was, but the rest at least had some time shaved off to make it easier, like the mirroring effect you can see faded beneath the glass from within the city, and so, so much more clearly from without it as well. :D I loved building this, and some excellent happy accidents occurred during it like a clown face on one of the structures making it seem like a fun house even though I hadn't originally intended on it, and it worked so seriously well that I just had to roll with it, so I did. :) And there were various things like that throughout and I have to say this was incredibly fun to build!

If you like it and, well, if you've somehow read my rambling, then thank you for the interest, and I'll update this with a little edit of how it does when the contest has some kind of judgement for it too. :D
Updated Edit: I won. :)

I wasn't really sure of how this'd turn out so seeing it like this, in all of it's full completed conclusion, feels so incredibly nice. xD
This is proof that trying new things is worth it, yes. :) In my eyes, anyway. Even if you may not have any idea what you're doing at first, you can pick up little techniques along the way, like how for my first structure in this it just wasn't that interesting in the shapes of the lights so they were all rather rectangular, but as I went along and built a few others the shapes started to get wayy more interesting and unique, and it felt so much more like what I was hoping it would be because of it. :)

This may not be the best build I've made - and honestly, my layout for the city itself isn't very good! -, but it's my favourite right now. :) Since I felt happy building it, I had fun, and I've finished it with a real interest and appreciation of the theme. :D If anyone's ever unsure of whether to try out something new then I heavily recommend just going with it if it's genuinely safe for you to do and you're interested in it. :) Trying new themes and ideas and techniques is okay even if it doesn't work out well and even if it could be better, because the only way you'll ever get better and expand your horizons is to try, after all! :D So, to all of the handful of people who read these words, good luck with every bit of creativity you ever invoke, and have fun. :)
CreditAdditional credit to BSL Shaders for the screenshots, after having tweaked the settings to get a more purplish hue. It worked excellently.
