First of all, sorry if I do some english mistakes, I'm French so english isn't my main language ^^'

Hi ! So it has been a long time since the last time I created a project, so today, I'm presenting to you "Modern Age", an adapted version of "New Era" but done in a Data pack !

So, it's a technology mod-like, which allow you to build machinery and automate your ore production and many other things, at least that's what will be able when the project will be finished.
The pack just turned into it's Beta phase, this mean that it can now be "useful", and that the basics mechanics have been added.

===| ALPHA 0.1 |===
+ Mechanic Table
Added the Mechanic Table, which is used to craft all the other tier 1 componement.
All you have to do is to throw the correct material at it.
Crafted by throwing an Irong block and a Redstone Block on the ground.

The Mechanic Table
+ Generator
+ Added the Generator.
Generate Electric Charge by throwing some coal at it.
Crafted at the Mechanic Table with a Furnace and a redstone block.

The generator
+ Cobblestone Generator
+ Added the Cobblestone Generator.
When charged with an Electric Charge, it will create a cobblestone it above him. (1 EC = 16 cobblestone)
Crafted at the Mechanic Table with a Lava Bucket, a Water Bucket and an Electric Charge.

The cobblestone generator
+ Cobblestone Chiseler

+ Added the Cobblestone Chiseler.
Used to transform Cobblestone into Stone when charged with an Electric Charge. (1 EC = 16 stone)
Crafted at the Mechanic Table with a Cobblestone Generator, an Electric Charge and an Iron Block.

The stone chiseler

===| ALPHA 0.2 |===
+ Crusher
The crusher will... welll... crush many things, some more may be added in the future.
You can crush:
* Cobblestone into 2 gravel.
* Gravel into 2 sand.
* Bone into 5 bone meal.
* Sandstone into 4 sand.
The crusher is powered by throwing an Electric Charge at it. (1 EC = 16 uses)
The crusher is crafter at the Mechanic Table with an Iron Pickaxe, an iron plate and an Electric Charge.

===| ALPHA 0.3 |===
+ Plate Presser
Added the Plate Presser, which will press some material into a plate. It's crafted at the Mechanic table with a Piston, an Electric Charge and a redstone block.
It is used by placing a block of the wanted material on top of it, but it also need to be powered by some Electric Charges, each one power the Plate presser for 4 uses.
The machine take 5 second to press the block into a plate.
For the moment, only iron blocks can be transformed into plates.

===| ALPHA 0.4 |===
+ Added Items
Some items have been added, here's the list:
- Added the Coal Powder, created by crushing a Coal into the Crusher.
- Added the Brain Implant, the item used to summon the Implanted Villager, the first Boss. It's crafted in the Mechanic Table with a diamond, an Iron Plate and a coal powder.
- Modified the iron plate made in the Plate Presser so it can be a custom item, and not just the basic Iron Plate.
+ Added the first Boss.
Here comes the first Boss, the Implanted Villager.
He's summoned by throwing the Brain Implant on a villager.
He has 70 hearts, a bit of armor, and two loots.
- The T2 Electric Charge, which is the Tier 2 version of the Electric Charge. It will be used to first upgrade the Mechanic table, and then to power the Tier 2 machinery.
- The speed boots, which double your speed. There is 10% of looting them.

The Boss
The Implanted Villager, with the Brain Implant in the hand.

===| BETA 1.0 |===
Now that the first boss has been added, I think it's time to put it in beta.

Update + 1.14
+ Pack updated to 1.14
+ I also wanted to say that, even if I hadn't updated the pack in a while, I'm still working on it. I just had some trouble with the transition to 1.14, and I had to think about what I'd add next ^^ (and I'm also a student, so I don't always have free time to do that)
+ Tier 2 Mechanic Table
Added and upgrade to the mechanic table.
Is created by throwing a T2 Electric Charge (looted on the first boss) on the T1 Mechanic Table.
It also stays upgraded even if broken.

+ Added Electric Smelter
Added the Electric Smelter, crafted at the T2 Mechanic Table with a T2 Electric Charge, a Blast Furnace and a Diamond.
It has the same use as a normal Furnace, but it can be powered by T2 Electric Charges. (1 EC = 12 items)

Installation
1. Download the zip
2. Go to the "datapacks" folder of your save (.minecraft -> saves -> [your save] -> datapacks)
3. Unzip it in that folder
4. Join your world and type "/reload" in the chat to be sure that the functions loads correctly :)

So, that's all for the moment, if you want to support the project you can drop a diamond, you can also make suggestions of what I should add in the next updates, thanks for reading :)

Hey this looks really promising! I especially enjoy that you don't require a texture pack. I look forward to seeing the development of this pack, if you have the time to do so. The one thing data-fied minecraft definitely needs is tech packs.

Did you unziped the file in the correct folder ? It needs to be in the "datapacks" folder in your save file (also check if you didn't put it in the wrong save file)

You need to put it into the datapack folder on the world, while the world IS OPEN, then type /reload. Wait a sec, then type /datapack list to see if minecraft recognises it. if not, you may be running an unsupported game version. If this is so, try running the minecraft updater and update to the most recent game version, most likely 1.14.3

My suggestion is to add custom crafting recipes for the mechanic table rather than throwing it on the ground

I can't create a custom crafting recipes to craft an Item with customs tags, so I can't for the moment, but if Mojang add this possibility in the future, I will surely do it ^^
Thanks for the suggestion anyway :D
