Hello people!
If you want to get the best experience exploring the map, use the Conquest texturepack and set connected textures to fancy!
So recently I've been experimenting around a lot with WorldMachine and WorldPainter, trying out different techniques and stuff. This particular map turned out quite nice in my opinion, and after the widely positive feedback of my previous WM project (http://www.planetminecraft.com/project/insert-fancy-fantasy-name-here/) which I posted a week ago, I decided to share this one with you as well. I even gave it a name! Delharia. In fact, GGJ16 came up with it but shhtt don't tell anyone...
About the map: It's roughly 1.5k by 1.5k and it goes from y = 0 all the way up to y = 256, which allowed me to create more or less huge mountains. Speaking of which, there are two main mountain chains / ranges: a very large and tall one in the east, and a smaller one in the west. Between these ranges, there is a sparsely populated desert-ish valley.
Hey I didn't actually forget to place trees on this map! I used Lentebriesje's lovely presets.
Why am I even writing this? Just have a look at the bloody pictures ffs!
I'll add more pictures soon!
