Looks awesome man! I am especially excited by the title scene because cutscenes are like the one thing I am most apprehensive of doing on my map.

Thanks for the kind words!

Cutscenes are dangerous at times, because of a repeating command block that constantly teleports the player to the same coordinates. You can potentially "lock" your map if you don't have the ability to turn the command block off. Backups are key when making things like that.

I am amazed at how awesome this looks anf how hard you must be working on it!! I am curious though, is it a near exact copy of 2016 for people who couldn't buy the game, or does it have some of its own stuff too?

The intro is a near copy of 2016, but the rest of the map is a mix of 2016's levels, ie. The Foundry, Mars Base, and the final Nether (Hell) level. The map will have a mix of eternal and 2016 gameplay, and my creative spin.

No demos unfortunately. A demo or beta would mean releasing all of the game files and programming, which I don't want to do until it's ready. As well as future confusion with players searching for the map online and having difficulty finding the finished product over the demo versions.

Not bad, but why is everyone in love with Doom 2016? It's great and all that, but I personally prefer Doom Eternal, just suits me better with all the dash and jump abilities. Played both, both are absolutely great. I just find Eternal more fun. Do you prefer 2016?

I also think Eternal was an overall improvement, however it can't be denied that 2016's atmosphere was more on point, it also wasn't as fast and overloaded with mechanics so it's easier to recreate in Minecraft.

I haven't played Eternal yet and it sure looks fun, but DOOM was an instant classic.



This map is primarily inspired by DOOM 2016, but I will potentially have pieces of DOOM Eternal here and there.
