Dungeons of Denalia is a dungeon crawling adventure map where the player assumes the role of an adventurer in a fantasy medieval world. The game starts at the uppermost level of an unmapped dungeon with monsters and treasures. The goal is to fight one's way to the bottom level, retrieve the Amulet of Life, then ascend to the surface. Until the Amulet is retrieved, the player cannot return to earlier levels. Monsters in the levels become progressively more difficult to defeat.

A Roguelike dungeon crawler.
Procedurally generated dungeon levels.

Secret rooms.

Play on easy, normal or hard.

The Amulet of Life spawns at level 10 and deeper.

I really like this and it would go so well in our 3rd adventure map that we have just started working on as you make this type of thing far better than I could :)

If you're ever bored and want to make us a dungeon for the map feel free :P

Best of luck with the update you mention a post below and I look forward to seeing what you do with it.
I really enjoy this adventure. I have found many furnaces and crafting tables. Do you have any recipes to use those?

Reminds me of ShadowGate. 10/10 you reminded me of me and my bro playing that game around 11pm every weekend on the famicom.

Hey Zepimo, that's great, I never played that game but I watched some gameplay just now and yes it have some resemblance because it's a dungeon crawler. I'm glad that you liked my map, and btw I'm currently updating it, I hope it will be better with my new additions. I let you know when I finish it so you can try again.
THIS LOOKS AMAZING... I have the world loaded up right now and I assume I'm chilling at spawn. The texture pack fits perfectly and I hope this is going to be one of the best dungeon crawler maps I'll have recorded for yt!

*EDIT* I couldn't get past the first dungeon without going in a fit of rage ;-;

I'm currently updating the map with people suggestions that should help to no rage quit the map, for example, keep inventory, no perma death, etc.
I've been playing this the last few hours (time flew right by), and I gotta say this is really fun! I love the attention to detail you put into this. I did want to ask though, is it intended to let the player remove arrows from dispensers? If not, I'll force a rule on myself to leave them be.

There is a command block that remove those arrows from the player inventory so when you take them, they disappear from your inventory. Let me know if you have any suggestions on how to improve the map, I'm currently working on a new version of it.
Thank you for the very detailed reply! :) I'm going to try this map out tonight.
I noticed this requires 1.9.2 to play. Conquest relies heavily on Optifine's connected texture ability. I've only ever used Optifine with Forge. Forge is not yet available for 1.9.2, but I noticed Optifine is... How do I install Optifine without Forge?

Yes you can install optifine in 1.9.2 without forge, go to optifine website https://optifine.net/downloads, download the version of optifine that is better for you and install it, its an easy installer you just click next next... then open Minecraft and it created a profile named optifine select it and click play. Once inside go to video settings and enable connected textures, and shaders, etc. the map will look better.
I'm currently updating the map now with new ideas people told me, if you have any let me know and I might add them to the map, I will be posting a prerelease version 1.1 of the map on a week or so.

Do you actually need the emeralds for anything or can you just throw them away? Because I have _way_ too many of them, XP.

Whoah, is emerald collecting a common theme? Because I had the same idea for my project, now I'm afraid that I'm accidentally cribbing off this.

This looks really awesome though, can't wait to give it a shot or five.

I wish I had more of a beefy computer so I could play and record this. Still, even though I can't play it props to you, it's one of the coolest adventure maps I've ever seen.
