The project is currently on hold because im busy with a lot of private projects and learning worldmachine so I can make better maps. There is quite a big chance that I won't start working on the project again at all.
The Eminent island 2 project is finally here !
Even though there is no download yet and the map is only 25% finished, I will be releasing smaller sections of the map available for download soon.
The map will be featured on my upcoming server Mythcraft as a second survival world.

I wanted to make a map that has the feeling of a normal minecraft world but then a lot more realistic. All of the normal biomes are there but there also totally custom biomes and biomes that are mixed with each other. Everything you see on the screenshots can still change as i didn't put many custom trees in yet. I didn't use worldmachine for this map, only worldpainter with some custom brushes.

Making a map this big and detailed takes time and i have no idea how long it will take to finish it (big projects take long to build on your own).
I've worked on it for some time now and i'm at roughly 25% of the 10000 by 10000 blocks big map.
I will post updates and screenshots/renders in this project.

One of my main issues with lag on MC, is due to world gen. So using custom terrain maps, removes about 90% of my lag, because the world is already pre-made.
