the forestay needs improvement, it looks very lazily done, but the ship overall looks pretty good.

Thank you. Is the forestay the rope that connects to bowsprit to the first mast? If so, mind elaborating on how I can improve upon it? Thanks!

no, the forestay is the large wooden thing coming out of the bow, holds the formast to the ship. if you look at the older ships (eg. HMS victory), take a look at their figureheads, they go straight out and have lots of patterns and gild plating around the base.
or, you can be creative and make a figurehead instead of a forestay, but to be honest, right now it just looks too bland and unattractive the way it abruptly curves up at the end.
