The soldiers were right.... war, war never changes.
The year is 2077, and the world is at the brink of nuclear annihilation. Two superpowers are armed to the teeth and pointing nuclear death in every direction, yet you are preoccupied with starting a family as the rest of the world falls apart. One of these days those sirens will roar, and where will you turn? The vaults? If it means saving your family, then you'll do anything, especially for Shaun. Shaun. You promise to never let harm come his way, yet that seems impossible with the world where it is. You know the day will come when the bombs drop. If your time in the army taught you anything, it's that war... war never changes.
Inspired by Bethesda's Fallout 4 I present my newest project, FALLOUT: Shadow of Boston. Or "Dawn of Grognak". Or something else. Right now I'm not sure what to call it because I'm not sure what story I'll actually fit into the thing. Right now I'm setting the groundwork for the final version of the city that you'll see in the map, along with some other buildings not in Boston itself.
I decided to come back to this map after watching the Yogscast's Fallout 4 Let's Play from ages back, so there's a good chance I'll make the main character Grognak trying to reclaim his title as the Barbarian, or something. We'll have to wait and see.
The main Boston area itself is coming along well, but the interiors of the important buildings have yet to be put into place. Hopefully I won't abandon this one or give up. *Gulp*
There is no release date yet as I'm early into making the map.
Sidenote:
Some screenshots from now on will be in a low resolution as I've building this map while using a computer monitor from '87. No, I'm not joking.

I've decided to stop working on this map and post what I've made for others to finish. I hope someone can make good use of what I've made. Have a good day!

I've decided to discontinue work on this map and release what I've made to the public for anyone to finish. Included is the original world as well as the larger, more accurate revision. Both are incomplete in one way or another.
