This Post is a part of our „Once upon a Time - Series“

In this series we want to present some of our old builds and projects to you. It‘s time to take a glance back and talk about the past 6 years on our server. So let‘s get started and bring up some of the old stories and adventures we went through. Furthermore, we wanted to "honour" one of our greatest friends who taught us that replicas are sh**. We are hopefully able to prove the opposite! :D

Welcome to „Schloss Favorite“, a pleasure castle located in Rastatt, Germany. It was built between 1710 and 1730. The design of the castle and the rooms are striking examples of the late Baroque period. The „real“ garden differs a lot from our version. It is a natural looking English landscape garden, which is also a sign of the changing styles from late Baroque to Rococo.

So why did we even replicate a real castle? - Well, the answer is simple, but it takes a bit of time to explain …

In 2014, Stevecurious joined the server and brought a fully new style into the team. His passion was to build large, impressive buildings like realistic castles, townhalls and so on.
For Lukrezia that was a new aspect, because so far she was more focused on a Fantasy-based-style and terrain creation. It didn‘t take long till she decided: „I want my own castle!“. Since she didn‘t know how to start she looked up some pictures of „real“ castles from the internet. She found many huge and amazing builds, which she figured were to difficult for „beginners“. So she found the Favorite Palace. A small, pretty, easy to build castle which was also pink…
Soon she got more help than she expected (and wanted). Many others helped with the building and later on with the garden. In no time the castle was finished and had gotten a decent interior. Also a secret tunnel system added by MDK. Soon the build became the „Admin Palace“ and some of our Staff members and friends (who obviously had nothing else to do), created their own special rooms and offices inside the „small“ castle.

We would love to give credit to everyone who helped creating this build, but we simply can‘t remember all of them… And we are also sure, that some of them are glad that we wont mention them here.

For sure we got to mention:
- Lukrezia
- Stevecurious
- MDK6778

Now download and enjoy!

NOTE: The Download includes just the castle and the main part of the garden. The gate house and adjacent buildings are not part of the download.
