"Then suddenly a great light appeared in the low place in the hills and the northern end of the lake turned golden. "The King beneath the Mountain!" they shouted. "his wealth is like the Sun, his silver like a mountain, his rivers golden run! The river is running gold from the Mountain!" they cried, and everywhere windows were opening and feet were hurrying. There was once more a tremendous excitement and enthusiasm. But the grim-voiced fellow ran hotfoot to the Master. "The dragon is coming or I am a fool!" he cried. "Cut the bridges! To arms! To arms!"
The image of the writhing, struggling and ultimately, dying Dragon who's name was Smaug from The Hobbit film trilogy, has become Iconic, along with the Bell Tower where the Black arrow was fired from.
I have built both for my competition entry. I love to build dragons, when I saw this build contest, to build something amazing in a 16 by 16 block space, I took it as a great challenge, taking care to put as much thought into the shape of the dragons wings, and struggle into his pose as I could.
The Bell tower is, as it is in the film, of a relatively simple design, set build in disturbed icy lake water.. No windows remain because of the Smaug's dying shreiks, and on the roofs, scattered remains of snow that the dragon had not managed to melt.
"Fire and Water" is the chapter name of Smaug's demise
