A 1:1 Minecraft build of a Fletcher-class destroyer, a class of 175 destroyers commission between 1942 and 1944. One of the most successful destroyer designs of WW2, the Fletchers served the US Navy throughout WW2 and into the Korean War.
The second American destroyer I've built, this build was requested by one of my subscribers, who originally wanted me to build USS Johnston (DD-557). I couldn't make the ship into the color scheme that Johnston wore, but the build is modeled what a 1943 Fletcher looked like, which is pretty similar to Johnston, as she was commissioned in 1943.
The ship is armed with 5 x single 5"/38 caliber DP guns, along with a torpedo armament of 2 x 5 21 inch Mark 15 torpedoes. The ship also carried 10 x 40mm Bofors guns, 7 x 20mm Oerlikon cannons, 6 × depth charge projectors, and 2 depth charge tracks.
There is a also litematic file along with the world file in the zip file if you want to build it yourself using Litematica.
