French Destroyer Sirocco 1:1

[​En] The Siroco was laid down on 7 March 1924. She is commissioned in February 1928.
During the Second World War, the ship took part in the first operations in May 1940. After destroying several German submarines in the Strait of Dover, the Siroco takes part in the Battle of Dunkirk.
On 31 May 1940, the ship embarks this time between 750 and 930 men. Around 2 a.m., the ship avoids a first attack of two torpedoes from a Schnellboot before being hit by a second salvo in the stern, which destroys the propellers and stops the Siroco. A Stuka then attacked the ship and caused an explosion in the ammunition bunker. Soldiers are picked up by two British and one Polish ship. The death toll was 270 survivors and between 660 and 680 dead and missing.

[​Fr] La mise sur cale du Siroco se déroule le 7 mars 1924. Sa mise en service a lieu en février 1928.
Lors de la Seconde Guerre mondiale, le navire participe aux premières opérations en mai 1940. Après avoir détruit plusieurs sous-marins allemands dans le détroit de Douvres, le Siroco participe à la bataille de Dunkerque.

Un Stuka attaque ensuite le navire et provoque une explosion au niveau de la soute à munitions. Des soldats sont recueillis par deux bateaux britanniques et un polonais. Le bilan est de 270 rescapés et de 660 à 680 morts et disparus.
