Is the future of trucking based on a flying or hovering vehicle ? That is the possibility explored by vehicle concept
artist riftroamer. He has designed a series of flying / hovering future transport trucks (if “truck” is still the word when there are no wheels involved.And being that they are a hovercraft, Not held back due to roads, water, mud, snow and ice. All the things that would slow down or stop a normal truck. With a hovercraft can Increase the size of the truck and the loads.
The tractor itself — or tractor-plane — is called a “prime mover”. On the one hand, we are only now getting hoverboards that can lift a human weight for several minutes, and It is possible to lift huge weights with air though, as is demonstrated with hovercraft. Hovercraft also use a propulsion method to move horizontally (in addition to the pressurization system under their skirts that push them up above the surface). The heaviest hovercraft can carry up to 130 tons of cargo. It’s a Russian Zubr class LCAC. It’s max displacement is 535 tons. The Russians also make the largest civil hovercraft

I've already heard of the idea of hovering trucks but never made one myself, even though the idea is extremely enticing.
They perfectly fit in a dystopian sci-fi world.
Now I remember again where I've seen a hovertruck for the first time: it was in the short film "Blade Runner Black Out 2022". There they tell the story about how the "Black Out" happened which they talk about in "Blade Runner 2049".
Two replicants hijack a hovering fuel truck to destroy the Tyrell Corporation's server building.
You know, when I woke up this morning I thought I was going to build a bus but then I found your submission here and spent the rest of the day reading about what makes a dystopia and researching dystopian novels and movies. I also watched "Blade Runner 2049" and "Blade Runner Black Out 2022" just to see the hovertruck again xD
I tell you this because it is a great example for an idea I always liked: As an artist, you don't know what effect the things you create have. So, any artist should be careful with what they publish.
But in this case, I can only thank you for making me smarter :P
