Ruled by an evil tyrannical king named Julius Galidin, this arena was built by hundreds of slaves over the course of 2 months. Faster than any building built before, for his intentions were quite profitable. He ordered his knights to travel to the surrounding, un-governed villages and steal particular and suitable people for slavery, sacrifice, and gladiator combatants.
In year 130 in the second era the Galidin Square Arena was opened to the public at the cost of 5 gold coins each making it affordable for most of the kingdom to attend. They would jail the combatants, feed them well, and provide unusually confortable accommodations for the prisoners, for the king knew that it would be their last night, and that the battles would be more enjoyable with the combatants being of top morale.
When the time came to prepare for battle they were merged into two teams, Royal Blue blessed with the finer skills of combat, and Blood Reds empowered with the viciousness of barbarians and mongrels. They were technically exactly the same but the blue team's armor was made by Lapis, and the red team dyed by blood. They are then thrown into the tower with unnecessary amounts of food, armor, potions, and weapons of which they could use. After a few minutes of preparation, and when the sun is at tis highest point in the sky, the doors would open and the combatants would storm the arena.
The fights were brutal, painful, and fast. when one team had no more living fighters the other team won, and anyone who lived would be freed, and rewarded with a Conqueror's title, and a handsome sack of coins. If you survive one of these battles you were famous and no one would mess with you.
