Overview


Gensokyo Reimagined server is a recration of the Touhou Project game series. With a fully exploreable Gensokyo spanning 500+km^2 of area, allowing players to enjoy the fantasy filled experience in Minecraft. The map is not available for download because the map relies on the server's plugins to function. The map also keeps this project alive and we do not want to segment the community. Keeping the map and community in one place ensures work on the project continues.


Server is currently in Work in Progress but if anyone wants to help build Gensokyo feel free to join our discord server!
Server is only supported for Java Edition 1.21.1 and above!


Resource Pack


Over the last 8 months we have worked heavily on our custom resource-pack to introduce a unique style to the server. This means we have a vast range of custom mobs, custom items dropped by the mobs - and even a custom GUI for players to enjoy.


Build Progression

  • Current focus is currently on Human Village
  • Most of the noteable natural places (like Spring Path etc) is more or less complete.

Future Plans

When map is somewhat done we plan to release it as MMORPG + SMP with Custom Bosses/Enemies and Quests!
So far with our past open beta tests we learned A LOT of gameplay possibilities and with this map we hope to extend our features much more.

Alright, I'll keep my mouth shut now, but we hope to release the server within a year. We know it's slow, but stay tuned!

    Server only accepts clients from 1.20.4 to 1.21

    We plan to "somewhat" support bedrock clients in the future but main roadblock right now is that bedrock doesn't have any Item/Block Display Entities. Cuz of that most of the custom stuff will not be visible even if we port it.

    on another thing, I think this is where the phrase "Don't mess with a touhou fan" came from in the modern sense.
