George Henry Lee was a former department store in Liverpool. I am recreating the store as I remember it from 2007, 1 year before the store closed down permanently.



Why am I doing this?

George Henry Lee aka John Lewis was a store that I distinctly remember frequently visiting from when I was young, right up until I was 6 when the place closed in 2008.


This store has a lot of nostalgic and sentimental value to me, as I have many fond memories spending my time and shopping here with my family. Once this place had shut down I was very angry and upset, and I still miss this place 12 years later (this present day).

So therefore I have decided to recreate the store as accurately as I possibly can to how it looked in 2007 (13 years ago). And I didn’t take this decision lightly, I’ve been playing Minecraft for about 9 and a half years and I have never previously considered building older style buildings alike. I have already been a modern builder. However this place holds a special place in my heart and was a major part of my childhood, so this is an exception. Stay tuned as I will be posting my progress on the building right up to the finished product.
