Hello all :D
I present to you my God's Blind Eye Portal project, made for inecraft Open Community Event sponsored by NVIDIA. Special thanks to McMeddon for preparing a more varied and refined map. Great job :D
PROJECT ESTABLISHMENT
The aim of the project was to create a creative object that would fit into the landscape. I was thinking about some kind of castle or village but I gave up on such a concept. I decided that the more interesting and original vision would be an abstract structure that fits into the landscape, which would be its natural complement or development.
HISTORY OF THE CREATIVE PROCESS
The main question was the choice of the site for which I chose the mushroom forest. I thought it would be left out in favor of a volcano or rock columns, and I find it very interesting. Then I decided that the project would consist of giant mushrooms and some abstract form.
The form took the shape of a circle that evolved into the eye. Mushroom houses were built at the moment when I came to the conclusion that it is a pity to waste so much space created in the mushrooms. The choice of colors also changed compared to the original form. Originally, mushrooms consisted of raw materials dedicated to them, but it merged with the existing forest and I felt that it was necessary to distinguish the great mushrooms more strongly. After the changes, the choice fell on obsidian, quartz and amethyst. They became the base materials for the entire project. I used purple glass to add depth to the portal. Then details such as crying obsidian, amethyst crystals and wooden trim were added. This is how the main body of the project was created.
Even though the whole thing had an interesting and complete form (which should be understood as such a state of structure in which adding or removing or changing an element would work against the whole), the terrain seemed to be ignored by me. What was needed was something that would not interfere with the terrain too intensively, at the same time completing the form of the portal. Such assumptions were fulfilled by the concept of ditches filled with elements such as the interior of the portal. "Magic Ditches" XD. They could not be accidental because it would destroy the integrity of the whole object. The form is based on circles because the portal is based on a circle. The last detail I did was end rod. It was necessary to complete the concept. The last part was my rendering.
Renders made by me in Chunky Launcher
Used shaders is BSL Shaders
And that was it. Thank you to everyone who read this text to the end.
Don't forget to express your opinion on the project.
