Description
Grand Whiteburgia Hotel is a luxury hotel and restaurant located on the High Street, facing proudly over the St George's Market. It was built in 1683 as a coaching inn to accommodate people visiting the exchange market. It was first constructed around timber-framed courtyard design of Henry Bell. The building underwent great restoration in the 19th century for which it had got a classical Georgian facade with almost a Baroque feeling.
