Hello, and this is a project I've been working on for the past month or two. Basically, it's a large, interactive redstone PVP arena, with player-controlled traps and a working lives counter. Download the map on the side, or at the bottom of the description. And make sure to Diamond if you like it! :D

How the spawn point works:

First of all, both teams must choose which side they want to be on and sleep there. The OP can change the time to night if it's currently day. After doing that, there should be options in the center area to change the amount of lives both teams start with, as well as turning lives off completely if you want to just play until you get bored. After adjusting the settings, make sure everyone is on their correct side, because the middle area will close up, and both teams must click the start button. The round will start, and both teams have a short period to get everyone out onto the field before the lives start ticking. After that, the first team to run out of lives loses, the doors to the arena will close again, and the winning team will be displayed. If at any time during the round you wish to cancel, there is a button to do so, which both teams must press.

How the arena works:

In the arena, there are many pressure plates. Ones with redstone lights by them usually indicate an item dispenser. When you recieve your item, you should notice that the redstone light stays lit. This indicates that the dispenser is recharging. This is to prevent abuse. When the light goes back off, the item dispenser works again. There are also "gold" spots in the ground, and these usually rise when you step on a nearby pressure plate, allowing you to get to a higher platform. The rest of the pressure plates are traps, which you can activate on nearby players. Of course, you can always resort to fighting them yourself. In the main room (the largest one), there is a platform with four pressure plates. Two of them shoot damage potions and fireballs down the hall (one on each side), and the other two open up pitfalls in the ground. This is an advantagous position to be in, but also requires you to defend your position vigorously.

Playing:

Make sure you host this map on a server, otherwise, needless to say, it would be very boring. Preferably go on a server with friends that you can play comfortably with, but there may or may not be public servers with this map- depending on how popular it is. (So be sure to diamond. :D). IMPORTANT: MAKE SURE THAT YOU TURN MOB SPAWNS OFF ON THE SERVER, OTHERWISE THIS MAP WILL BE VERY ANNOYING TO PLAY ON, IF NOT IMPOSSIBLE.
