The Grumman S-2 Tracker — formerly known as the S2F!

Hello and welcome back to my page! Today I’ve got another 1:1 build for you — the S2F, or more commonly known now as the S-2 Tracker.

This specific version is the S2F-1, or S-2A Tracker, used by the Koninklijke Marine (that’s the Royal Netherlands Navy). It served aboard the HNLMS Karel Doorman (R81) — how cool is that?

Speaking of the Karel Doorman — if you want to see this aircraft aboard the actual ship, go check out Wessel’s post! Seriously, such fun renders and a breathtaking build. It’s always a joy seeing my planes used like that!

Oh, and by the way — I made three versions of this plane. One is in flying position, with the dome and probe fully extended (respectively from the bottom and rear of the aircraft). Another one is in landing position, and the last one is in folded position for storage.
