I was stating the fact that it was "Cheating" because it's a texture pack but because this person modified the texture pack so he can add the wood lines which is adding fake detail instead of using minecraft vanilla blocks. Only this person has the texture pack and no one will see the fake detail he has if he is using another texture pack. It's "cheating" in the way that you don't do much you just place the blocks and the detail appears on the blocks because they were painted that way but when I do a house I make detail with blocks that is seen by everyone in every texture pack, But this detail is limited to him.
