Hello! :D

Made a new redstone device on my redsignal server! This machine makes hardened concrete! I use a whole lot of concrete of different colors and always had to make huge pillars of powder and then mine each and every block by hand! So I made this :D

You can drop in the concrete powder manually, when it lands in the machine it's immediately hardened. Then, an observer detects it and pushes it further into machine creating a beam of concrete. When the beam is full, a row of pistons pushes the beam up and starts creating a new beam. This process continues until the wall is full, then a wall of pistons pushes everything away, making room for a new wall! It can produce 13 walls that are 11 blocks wide and 12 blocks tall.

This is a perfect device to AFK with to create a huge block of concrete that you can mine out when you need some hardened concrete, just as you'd need some granite or stone blocks.

There is also a lever

When you flip that, you're able to build a huge pillar. When that's standing up until you reach maximum build height, you can turn the lever off and all the powder will be fed into the machine. Mind you that this causes some lag and will destroy some powder blocks into items because of the insane speed it's being fed into the machine.

Free to use of course!

If you use this on a server i'd like a mention to this original submission. If you're a member on this website I'd appreciate a diamond! Took me a whole day to figure out a nice machine to make hardened concrete with!

Version info

This contraption is built on minecraft 1.12.2! it's possible that some parts may not work as expected on minecraft 1.13! Thanks @agoangreysushi for noticing this!

I see some and i got some problem with this machine in 1.13 & 1.14 snapshot

1. the lever downstairs near the hole is locking the piston down and will nor return back when you pull the lever again.

2. the last thing is why is the reset button on the top? make no sense at all as it cant push out the blocks as in picture, you need push the button upstairs :/

othere then that an ok machine, just bad its build so wrong
i do hope to se more from you in the fututre but please make so the machine works as they should

Thanks for your comment :D

Have you imported the 1.12.2 schematic into a 1.13 and 1.14 world? I guess things can go wrong if you do that.

I've tested in 1.13, and works as intended. I have not tested in 1.14. The lever is there just so you can build a tower of powder instead of dropping in every single powder by hand. in 1.13 the piston retracts for me.

The button you are referring to is there for testing purposes (triggering the wall-pusher), and isn't a reset button. I forgot to remove it before uploading. Once the wall has been completed the observer should detect it and should push the wall forward to make room for the next wall.

Feel free to build your version of this contraption yourself in 1.13 and/or 1.14 :D You're also free to upload to this site

I have build it block by block and its the same problem in 1.13/1.14 it will work better in 1.12 as the design is build for that and not above. the redstone have change in 1.13/1.14 :)

Could be the lever and piston at the drop-in hole is BUD-ing in 1.13, and that it's possibly a directional issue. I'll check it out later. Thanks for noticing :D
