The Hayden Class Starship is classified as a scout vessel designed specifically to head into hostile territory and behind enemy lines.

It is designed with four powerful sensor arrays directly powered by the warp nacelles, making it's sensors very powerful. It is armed with the latest weapons systems but they are not its primary form of defense, that is its pure raw speed. The Hayden is officially the fastest starship in the fleet, slightly edging out the Intrepid Class with a top emergency speed of Warp 9.995. She also possesses deployable ablative armor, Quantum and Transphasic Torpedoes and a state of the art ECM (Electronic Countermeasures) Suite that can render the ship invisible on most standard sensors. All this is to ensure that the ship is able to complete its mission and return with the information it has acquired.
