Version: 1.20.1 (Forge, Oculus and Embeddium. No Optifine)
Resource Pack: ModernHD
Mod: Little Tiles
Shader: Complimentary Shaders
Architectural style: Modern, Contemporary, Futuristic, Concept
Schematic? Indeed
Zipped content: Schematic, Flat World, and a Survival World
Short breakdown:
Although hexagonal houses aren't exactly something new, raising one from the ground was a personal challenge I wanted to approach, which I did. I believe we all have a vague idea of what concept architecture would look like in a long foreseen image of the future. That being the case, a mixture of contemporary infrastructure imbued with futuristic elements were merely a matter of time and patience; thus presented.
Despite the latest version of Little Tiles hovering in beta, it's still a working model with minor bugs and workarounds I had to apply in certain areas; you can consider these the "cons" I suppose haha.
Lacking the measuring tool in this version of LT made the creation of this build more challenging, but eyeballing symmetry between intersections and complex angles were at least hilarious.
All objects are handcrafted with the exception of paintings that were adapted from astrological pixel art, and imbedded into clean diagonal frames, a painful process in its own respect haha.
I tried to maintain the consistency of clean furniture and decorative pieces throughout the build, but decided to mix things up with a couple of traditionally styled décor, adding a welcome break from an otherwise habitual display of expected objects associated with contemporary interiors.
Function were added by means of axis and sliding doors, seatable furniture, and other interactable features that may imply greater purpose. As always, I try to improve with every build, so the process is honestly still a leaning curve affording opportunity to better my craft with greater distinction.
Improve upon the build, learn from it, or display it with-or-without credit, Tis yours however you choose to use it. Much love!
