Hello everybody!
On the 4th of April 2016 I posted a project on this very same website called: Horken: A realistic Dutch town project. After having a lot of fun making that town, due to unfortunate events, the world got deleted. After this inconvenience, I decided to take some time off, then I started a new town. AGAIN! HORKEN!
This town is a very large realism project that's being built by mainly me (infrastructure and loads of builds) and others on the KaoshKraft Creative server.
Horken is a Dutch Styled city that's designed after a typical Dutch town principle. Dutch towns usually started from farmers villages with a couple of farms and a church in the center. Gradually these towns expend from the inside out and by means of roundroads. Horken currently has 3 roundroads and work is being done on a fourth highway roundroad that encloses the entire city in a highway.
The city has a lot of services that are open to the public. Building started on a zoo, there is a police station, fire station, theater, church, school, starts of a hospital, plenty of shops and restaurants, a lot of office space and a lot of places for housing. All together the city now consists of more than 550 buildings and that number is growing each day!
The city has a sophisticated public transport system that consists of trains, trams and busses and in the future even metro's will be added to the city. These ways of transport come together at the main station of the city. This station has 6 platforms, a large bus station and a large tram station. Later on Horken will also be connected up to the airport that is being built by Paulverized, this to also allow transport to locations far away.
Recently, to enhance realism, I started a real estate website to specifically put houses and offices "for sale" in horken. The website is still under development, and suggestions are always welcome! https://horkenrealestate.wixsite.com/homepage
