In this Race for Wool map, two teams of four (or any number really) must conquer the hottest areas Minecraft has to offer with heavy PvP and PvE gameplay. There are three areas, each with their own wool; The Mesa Mineshaft, the Nether Fortress, and the Firey Volcano.
The game has a built-in 'time limit' of 60 minutes, where if one team is in the lead by that time, they will win automatically. But if there is a draw, the game will go into indefinite overtime until a new wool is placed, and the Victors declared. Only wools placed on the monument count!
This map uses the keepInventory gamerule, but be warned! If you die with the wool it will vanish from your inventory!
This map uses custom advancements, so keeping track of your own team's and opponent's progresses is as easy as pressing L.
Players can earn XP for shooting players, with extra XP incentive to kill players, especially those who are carrying wool on them.
You can set the resource pack in server.properties to this link, and players who join can automatically download the resource pack associated with this pack. If you're not familiar with how to do that, open server.properties, and paste that URL to the resourcepack after it says

On 17th August 2020, this map was updated to Minecraft 1.16.2 with the following changes:
* Added a button to test if command blocks are enabled on the server. If it doesn't do anything, command blocks aren't enabled.
* Re-vamped area 2 with blocks from the Nether Update. Now it looks like Warped Forest and Soul Sand Valley!
* Re-vamped area 3 with blocks from the Nether Update. Now it looks like Crimson Forest and Basalt Deltas!
* Added a special piglin bartering loot table. They will give you:
* Porkchop
* Blackstone
* Warped Stem
* Arrow
* Light Blue Stained Glass or Lime Stained Glass, depending on which side you're on.
* Changes to wools vanishing from inventories upon death:
* When a player dies with undelivered wool, a message will appear in chat and shame them.
* Removed Wool Denied notification, it's redundant now.
* Wools Vanished statistic now won't count wool colors that have already been delivered.
* Added Paint's Crimson Crimson Planks.
* A loot item from secret bunker two has its own texture now.
* Changed Wool Denied advancement icon.

Played the map and it was awesome! Only one issue though, while we were playing, one of the teams learnt that putting the wool into a shulker box, and keeping that in your inventory would circumvent the curse of vanishing, if you were to die, not sure if there's a fix for this, but thought I should let you know!
But honestly, great job on the map, it was a whole lot of fun, and I'll be sure to link this page once we release the video!
