How to Make an End Portal while in Creative [Tutorial]

Why did you do a tutorial on this you say?!



Well just about every day one of my friends will ask me something like "Hey Chase, how do you make an ender portal?" or "My favorite food is carrots, what is your's?" So today I decided to just make a tutorial on how to make an End Portal for them and anyone else who does not know how or has trouble making End Portals. If the process is to complicating or you don't understand it please private message me with a question or comment with your question, I'll be happy to help you understand.

  • Items Needed to Complete the Project as I did: White Wool (25), Red Wool (8), Black Wool (7), Ender Portal Frame Blocks (12), Eye of Enders (12), Wooden Stair Blocks (about 3), you may also possibly need a sword or bow for killing chickens.




Step by Step Process:
  • Step One
Make a five by five area, I made mine out of wool and used red and black wool as a kind of chart system to better show you how to make the portal:

  • Step Two (information on Ender Portal Frame Blocks)
Ender Portal Frame Blocks work similarly to Stair Blocks, in other words, they can be placed in more than one direction. Please note the understanding of this step is crucial to completing the rest of theprojectcorrectly and in creating End Portals. Example:

  • Step Three
Now using this knowledge, you can see how to lay the first of the four sides, I compared the side to stair blocks, so you know how to place them by looking at the relation between stairs and frame blocks. Lay them in a three by one by one area as so:

  • Step Four
Turn 90 degrees and repeat this process of building yet another side, I also compared this process to stair blocks. Complete this as so:

  • Step Five
Basically repeat Step Four so that you now have three whole sides, here is another image showing how to complete this step:

  • Step Five-One (ignore this it is not a needed step)
If ANNOYING chickens seem to be getting in the way of your screenshots, spawn yourself a diamond sword, and then tap them once with the diamond sword, and poof, gone:

  • Step Six
Repeat Step Four yet again and you should have something that looks like this:

  • Step Seven
Now you are ready to start "throwing" or placing the Eyes of Ender into the Portal Frame Blocks, do so by holding an Eye of Ender and right clicking an End Portal Frame Block:

  • Step Eight
Continue this process on all 12 of the Ender Portal Blocks until they are all filled with Eyes of Ender:

  • Step Nine
After Placing the last Eye of Ender into the last Ender Portal Frame Block the protal should turn-on or begin to work, if not try to redo or retrace your previous steps in this tutorial. This is what your final product should look like:

  • Step 10 (Final Step
Jump into your portal and enjoy the End! :D Well done, you successfully made an End Portal:

the Fifth step was the one who helped me to do everything. Thanks for doing this tutorial! it's been so long i didn't play Minecraft so i forgot how to do a ender portal. 1+ Diamond!

The portal should still work even with the 1.9 update. What problem are you having exactly?

Hello. My son made this portal in Creative mode on PS3, he entered the portal and killed the dragon. He loved it and wants to do it again but he keeps making the portal on new maps and it doesnt activate. Are we only allowed one per account or something? Why is it not working anymore? Anyone knows please?

It should work if your son is making new worlds each time, the ender dragon may only spawn once per world, not once per account.

That's a daimond for you sir, this tutorial helped a lot. I couldn't figure it out, but then I realized i was just placing the eyes at the wrong angles

I checked out your skins, and I'd love to request one but I saw all the spots are taken. So I'll just hint at the fact a Crow skin would be pretty cool if someone made one. Great work with your skins so far though!
