The beta map closed off until further notice while we redesign the server architecture.

Make money with your downloads here!

Seriously, adfly freaking works miracles, and your creations won't be just for show anymore.

We were featured on Destructiod, Game Informer, Joystiq, The Verge, Zelda Dungeon, Zelda Informer, Screwattack, Radio Hyrule, and even a (albeit indirect) tweet by notch. So we're kind of a big deal, lol.

Use use Majora's Craft for all of our project's textures, so go check him out if you haven't already.
Progress: 100% Complete

An Update : 11/23/2012 8:52:20 am11/23/12

Hyrulecraft is currently reaching the end of stage 2. This means that I hope to have a "beta-map" up for release at, or before January 2013. This release map would contain every last complete aspect of Hyrulecraft, up to and including ALL dungeons and temples (with the exception of Jabu-Jabu of course.

When this update is complete, it will be available for download here, at planet minecraft, and is expected not to be updated for quite some time. Any and all questions about this map will NOT be answered, since all major and minor problems will likely be fixed at the time of the major server update. This major server update will contain all of the promised plans regarding the Hyrulecraft/Minecraft MMO-Project.

Thank you for your patience and continued support of Hyrulecraft.

Beta Map Server : 06/11/2012 3:59:16 pm6/11/12

Hyrulecraft is officially into beta map phase. If you would like to check out the latest changes, please visit mc.gengame.net and head through the multiverse portal into Hyrule.

Have fun!

1 Week : 06/05/2012 2:33:50 pm6/05/12

Connect to our survival server @ mc.gengame.net

Hyrulecraft is hosted on a multiworld, while the rest of the server is public access. VIPs can have 1 week early access before everyone. Once Hyrulecraft Beta launches, then it will be open to the entire minecraft community.

Note: We have slots reserved for VIPs and sub slots for members. If you cannot login to the server because we are full, then you can register here to have a MUCH better shot of logging onto our server. We expect to have a high amount of traffic when that happens, so try and get it done before next Monday.

Post Alpha Update : 02/02/2012 5:51:51 pm2/02/12

I want to thank EVERYONE who joined us on the server for the limited test alpha. We are currently working very hard on the map changes in preparation for the beta release of Hyrulecraft! Stay tuned to gengame.net/hyrulecraft for the latest updates on the project.

The Alpha Update (Part 3) : 01/22/2012 6:30:21 pm1/22/12

Boy, we have come a long way haven't we. What started as a simple project page a few months ago, has blown up into a viral hit across the gaming community. And I must say, we couldn't have done it without all of the fans who have been here from the start. I cannot thank you enough.

The server has 60 slots... and every time someone leaves, another NEW player fills that void. It's been going on like this all day, non-stop.

...my hands won't stop shaking from all of this excitement.
~Benny Girard
The Hyrulecraft Architect

Server Sneak Peek : 01/20/2012 6:51:56 pm1/20/12
The server is up for a limited time. If you wanna see the latest build of Hyrulecraft, check it out soon!

Terms of use reminder : 01/18/2012 4:23:28 pm1/18/12

I didn't think much of it before, but after the recent surge of traffic to this page, I feel I need to remind everyone of my terms of use policy that's included in the "Read me first" text document included in the Hyrulecraft Alpha Map Package.

I would like to remind everyone that this map is for viewing purposes only. You may not use any of these areas for your private projects, servers, or videos without my permission. The only exception for server hosting is for small 2-3 person groups who wish to view the map ONLY. Do not host this map publicly, the Hyrulecraft team will have a server ready to explore the alpha map soon.

Until then, enjoy the newest download and trailer video.

The Alpha Update (Part 2) : 01/17/2012 6:10:26 pm1/17/12

It's finally here! The Hyrulecraft Alpha map is now available for download! The project page has also been updated to feature a brand-new release trailer.

I hope you enjoy all of the hard work I put into this project. And we're just getting started! Don't forget to tune into Hyrulecraft Weekly this Friday @ 7pm central time.

Happy New Year : 01/04/2012 3:15:07 pm1/04/12

I know I promised you all a new map by now, but I've been busy with IRL things that had to be taken care of as a first priority. As a quick update, I am happy to announce that work on the trailer video and alpha release has begun. Look forward to seeing something from me soon.

The Alpha Update (Part 1) : 12/24/2011 3:28:55 am12/24/11

We're finally here! I want to thank everyone who has supported the project in the numerous ways possible. Whether you +1 a diamond, watched the live stream, subscribed to YouTube, or donated, this thank you comes from the bottom of my heart. The fans keep my hopes up on this project, and we are just getting started.

Part 1 of The Alpha Update is just a photo update. I've removed all of the old zone screenshots and replaced them with the most current versions I have. (With exception to Gerudo Fortress because the sandstone now looks hella weird in the latest texture pack update.)

The release date of the alpha map will be December 30th, 2011. Just in time for the new year!

I am also currently working on a massive video project for the Hyrulecraft Trailer. This trailer will feature a flyby through all of the completed zones, and feature a fan written music track especially for this project. This music will be incorporated into the rebirth of Hyrulecraft Weekly. Expect to see an update on the show page soon.

Thank you all again, and as always, Happy Building

Video #5 : 12/20/2011 1:49:38 pm12/20/11

We're almost finished! ...with the map download!!!!

I have about 90% of the terrain complete of Hyrule Field, and about 75% of the connecting terrain finished on the Hyrulecraft Alpha map. I plan to release the new download before the new year, so make sure you add this project page to your favorites.

In the meantime, please enjoy the new video! The Gerudo Fortress video is the 5th and final release in our tour series. If you haven't please watch the entire video playlist, and don't forget to subscribe to our YouTube page.

You can also download the Gerudo Fortress map here.

Have a wonderful Christmas everyone.

The Finale : 12/16/2011 4:22:37 pm12/16/11

After a 2 and a half hour live stream last thursday, all of the regions of Hyrule have been pieced together (with the exception of Lake Hylia). What does this mean for the project?

To sum it up nicely... WE'RE DONE!

I still need to complete some terrain shaping and other grunt work to polish the Alpha map before I publish it live. My current goal is to see a new download ready before Christmas, but it's still too soon to tell you the exact release date.

In other news: Work has begun on plugin development for the MMO-MA server version of Hyrulecraft. If you would like to develop these plugins with us, please send an email to [email protected] We need experienced people in the field of Java programming to help make this project work.

Thank you everyone for the continued support

Hyrulecraft Update12 : 12/09/2011 2:07:36 pm12/09/11

Secret Friday Update!

I know it's been a while since you guys have seen updates from Hyrulecraft, but never fear! Benny is back with more screenshots and a NEW DOWNLOAD. Everybody check out the map of the Gerudo Fortress HERE.

Don't forget to check out Hyrulecraft Weekly tonight at 8pm central, 9pm easter.

Happy Building!

Monday Meditation #2 : 11/28/2011 2:09:02 am11/28/11

I apologize once again, I have no images, videos, or downloads to report on. They are coming soon, I promise, but there are much more important things for me to work on right now that these little updates can wait. Let me try and explain what's going on.

UPDATED To-Do List: Stage 1 Finale

Overworld Alpha Post-Build
Hyrule Field Terrain
Death Mountain Shaping
Hyrule Castle Entrance Terrain
Hyrule Castle Interior
Market Suburbs Redesign

The Stitching
Kakariko Village
Zora River
Kokiri Forest
Lake Hylia
Gerudo Valley
Lon Lon Ranch

Everything on this list is scheduled for completion within the next 2 weeks. In the meantime, me and Rigs are going to try and put together a couple more videos in advance for planned releases. The planned release of the Overworld Alpha map sometime before Christmas. In addition, you can always look forward to seeing photo updates on this page, and the redesigned Hyrulecraft Weekly Page.

I promise more soon later this week.

Video #4 : 11/16/2011 12:17:04 pm11/16/11

Me and Rigs put together yet another video featuring the tour of the completed Zora's Domain and the attached fountain. I am currently aware that Jabu-Jabu is not present in this build, and I have already addressed this issue to people who brought it up. He's just too damn hard to make, and it would not fit in with the plans I have for this zone.

Monday Meditation #1 : 11/14/2011 6:23:01 pm11/14/11

Nothing much new to report. I added a fun picture showing everyone the notes I have jotted down in my free time. Me and Rigs haven't gotten around to making a new video yet, but I hope to take care of that soon. I want to have another video AND another dungeon pack available before this Friday's show. I've also been working on bringing on a guest minecrafter/live streamer for HCW.

In the meantime, don't forget to comment on the Minecraft Forum page.

Hyrulecraft Update 11 : 11/10/2011 10:38:17 pm11/10/11

The Kokiri Forest Alpha map pack is here!

Don't forget to tune into Hyrulecraft Weekly this Friday at 8pm central time so see the FINAL stream before Hyrule Field's mega build. We're almost done with the overworld, but there's a couple of changes to be made first.

I'm also trying to get a guest on the show, but it's probably not gonna happen.

Hyrulecraft Update 10 : 11/08/2011 3:38:26 pm11/08/11

I added another screenshot and changed a few others to reflect the current changes to the map. We are about a third of the way finished with the Gerudo Desert currently, with a good portion of it planned to be worked on this weekend during our live streams. Make sure you tune in this Friday at 8pm central time for Hyrulecraft Weekly. We might have a guest on the show, but nothing is confirmed yet.

Make sure you watch our youtube videos and don't forget to subscribe to receive regular updates. I also post to my twitter whenever I add another Update Log, or go live with Hyrulecraft.

(There also might be another map pack released this week.)

Street Team Instructions: Re-post this page to your Facebook and make sure all of your friends watch the show Friday.

Happy building!

Video #3 : 11/02/2011 9:14:56 am11/02/11

Me and Rigs took some time last Saturday night to work on a new video. After some experimenting with fonts and video effects, he came up with a neat new introduction and conclusion for our next video update!

I've also added/changed a couple of screenshots to the gallery to reflect the changes we have made. Don't forget to watch Friday's episode of Hyrulecraft Weekly Live. We're doing a live build of Gerudo Valley, a zone that's been very very anticipated by myself, the crew, and the fans. (We also have something cool we've been working on for the people who show up early to the stream.) Hope to see you there!

PS: If you haven't yet, check out the download link for the Market Alpha map here.

Hyrulecraft Update 9 : 10/28/2011 2:20:26 pm10/28/11

Big update today!

I have added a screenshot of the Market Suburbs to the slideshow as well as uploded a new map for everyone to download!

Check it out here.

Also, don't forget to watch Hyrulecraft Weekly tonight. We're finishing up Zora's Domain and Zora's Fountain. You don't want to miss this one. Tune in here at 9pm central.

Hyrulecraft Update 8 : 10/25/2011 9:24:55 pm10/25/11

We've done it! Zora's Domain is now complete and we have our first screenshot available for viewing. Check it out now!

Don't forget to watch Hyrulecraft Weekly this Friday at 9pm central for the live build of Zora's Fountain.

Dungeon Pack 1 : 10/24/2011 9:02:08 pm10/24/11

So I was sitting in class today and I came up with an awesome idea...

...and after an hour of work on MCEdit, I finally have a map for people to download!

This is NOT a download of the server. This is dungeon pack 1: A collection of mini dungeon that me and Kevin have been working on. These dungeons are purely for looks currently, but I do want feedback on them.

Please let me know what you think at GABEN... lol kidding.
emails go to [email protected]

Weekend Update : 10/23/2011 4:10:46 pm10/23/11

We've had somewhat of a slow weekend for streaming the show after a few setbacks, but the groundwork for Zora's Domain is in place and we're ready to begin polishing. I promise to have some screenshots ready later this week for viewing.

EDIT: I've taken down the bit about joining the team. It's nothing personal, except I haven't been impressed with people's commitment levels so far. Sorry.

You guys need to seriously work on that Forest Temple build.... good lord. I want to deliver constructive criticism, but it just needs to be COMPLETELY redone.

I can say, as a mod to this server, we're actually working on this whole server currently! Stay tuned for greatness!

was on there for a while.. rude owner kind of power abusive. the members they had when server wasnt DEAD were nice. But overall bad experiance. Id only recommend going to look at the hyrule map bout it.
I apologize for that. We had a problem with previous members of the server acting like children and kept trying to purposly crash it all. If we were rude to you, it was probably because one of us thought you were friends of theirs screwing with us.

Yeah, they went that far just to screw with us, but recently we've been trying to scrap a lot of old stuff and start fresh, but every time we try to do so, somebody thinks it's funny to DDOS us or something like that.

This project is ongoing and is still being worked on.

No you cannot make an adventure map on your own server. It's in the midst of changes and there will be a fun, interactive aspect on the official server soon enough.

Keep in mind that this is during the lapse of seven years of link's sleep, and not all features will represent one time in place of the other.

Look forward to future updates.
May I just say, this is AMAZING, but you're sacrificing a lot of really big details that could easily be solved with command blocks, such as Jabu Jabu's belly or the teleporting paths in the lost woods. You should check them out, and if help is needed I'd be more than happy to volenteer!
Hi I was wondering if I could make an adventure map with this by using a couple of mods?

im reworking this map on the 360 if any one is interested. gonna have a hunger games version and an adventure map. thank you for this map. I will still give credit to the original creator. even though im going to put a lot into it if it wasn't for your map my map wouldn't be there to start with.
Thank you for releasing this to the public

i would be really cool if u made another version of this into an adventure map when ur finished
I know the guys who worked on this originally, and they've kinda broken away from eachother. I've been working on a modded version, but I completely fail at WE landscaping. All I'd need is someone to send me a version that has had it's landscaping done, and I could go from there. One of the specific mods I'm using is Custom NPCs and the other is Familiars, as well as a few other mods here and there.

You know what this map needs? It needs mods, to make it really pop out, like putting skull kids in the lost woods and gorons in the goron city, and zoras in zoras domain. and someone needs to make this an adventure map, and fill all the chests and make it just like LoZ OoT

replica. if it was an adventure map, the chests in the temples/dungeons would be filled and you would spawn in kokiri forest in survival mode, and not in the middle of hyrule castle town floating in the air in creative mode.

Seriously! The answer is very simple! Use pressure plates and command blocks to teleport people to the dungeons from the entrance, and you can put the temples under hyrule field.

If you played any of the zelda game's it makes you walk to the temples and other places. You also have to find hidden chests and what not in zelda. Just saying
Beautiful!!!! have you considered using the nether and a portal for impossible places, ie, Jabu Jabu, Gannondorfs hyrule castle, and most temples? i guess you could drop the temples down, but if you remember in the game young fire temple had a portal in the real game so it would be fitting! lol i dont know if the nether would be suitable or not (kinda a noob lol) but it is a thought!!

The server got closed for not too long ago, and is suddenly in 1.4.7 instead of 1.5.2, but it's open soon again.
Did you guys ever get the shops thing figured out? Just playing around with the map, I found that using fences and pressure plates instead of cobblestone and wood blocks kept the 'shopkeepers' in behind the counters, using a trapdoor for the way in and out of the counters that they can't use. also using trapdoors as shelves, you can put item frames up then put the items each shop is 'selling' on those frames. Just thought you'd like to know~ Here's a picture just so you can see it.
Nice. I really like the Shelves the most. They look epic.
