The great Gothic architects of yore built with a a singular purpose: reach heaven. That was my goal with this build which spans 320 blocks tall. Truly immense in both its size and detail, this build is the product of two years of sporadic and intense work and planning.
Keen observers will notice elements taken from over a dozen Gothic Cathedrals spread around Europe, meaning that this is not a recreation of any specific cathedral, but an amalgamation of my favorite aspects of some of the greatest architectural accomplishments of all time.
To the best of my knowledge, this is the largest cathedral ever built in Minecraft. If I find a larger one, I will change the title of this build ASAP. The build is exterior only for now. If I complete the interior I will update this page.

A month or so ago, someone on Reddit posted a pretty large cathedral that was on fire. it had 7000-ish upvotes last time I saw it. I would probably investigate there and see if you can still claim your title as the largest cathedral.
