Hello you,
It has genuinely been awhile since I have posted some "quality" content but here I am with a recreation of a previous recreation I posted 3 years ago (wow time flies). I have been working on a 2.0 version of the IDS Center out of Minneapolis Minnesota with the recent 1.18.1 update that allows for a higher height limit. It has been an undertaking to recreate this complex for a second time in an even larger scale than the previous one that was 1:1.5, but to also find some general planning within the complex that I was not made aware of during the first time around. All 52 stories (57) are visible in this new version without needing to be loaded in by a separate program, which is personally a huge win. I will be working on "some" interiors of this block complex but to follow the "west way" of things, I will not be posting interior or internal integrity. I hope you all enjoy and I have some other recreations of IRL buildings coming soon for you all.
The recreation is practically me, myself & I celebrating the 50 year anniversary of the opening of this block complex that changed the architectural landscape of Minneapolis since its conception in 1972. The IDS Center opened in June of 1972, "A SYMPHONY BALL IS HELD IN JUNE CELEBRATING THE GRAND OPENING; AMONG THE GUESTS OF DIGNITARIES IS ANDY WARHOL... This is the first of many events in the Crystal Court, which officially opens to the public four months later. The Marquette Inn (now The Marquette Hotel) opens 51st floor observation deck opens November 22." (IDS Center History)
