IGEBM: Home at Last

This is a map I started in late December, after Christmas. I finished it on January 9th.

If you own the Minecraft Construction Handbook, you’ll know that this house was built following the tutorial for a survival house in the book. The oak wood was swapped out for spruce and the cobblestone for deepslate, since I was obsessed with 1.18 at the time. I added more stuff around the house, specifically a sugar cane and bamboo farm and an underground cave which was going to be expanded, but ended up being a bubble elevator from the pier up to my yard.

Inside my house is (on the first floor) a living room with a couch and TV, and to the left is a storage area, and on the right is the brewery and kitchen. On both sides are stairs. On the second floor is a large rug and a map on the floor of the mountains behind my home, the ocean ahead, and the forests on all the sides of my home. Then, there’s two rooms on the second floor: on the left is the guest room, and the right is my bedroom.

I liked following the tutorial, especially since this was the first time a built a home that remotely looks good.
