Built by Japanese navy in 1940, the battleship was the last hope for Japan. Was the strongest battleship ever built in history. It's brother ship, IJN Musashi, was built after yamato and was planned have a 3th one called Shinano, but this was converted into an aircraft carrier. A 4th one was planned too, but never was built.
