And here's a rotating shot of the first house (that little link; that's to the gif of it). It's a little compressed so it will seem a bit clunky though with the bad animation, but you should be able to get the idea. :D Anyhow, it's my created 1x1 house spinning in circles time and time again, endlessly looping around for an infinite expanse of time-
...

1x1 - A Cosy Era Mixture Home
The 1x1 house's main intent was to capture my own style of structural building - a little drooping here and there, botanical implements, and a very creative shaping because squares overrated, style - while implementing it into a modern house. Prior to this I had only made a single house for any kind of modern city, and that was a more dark and grey one with some dark blue highlights so I wanted this to be more bright and stand out, and so, I think, it does. As of yet the structure lacks interior but it will have one in the update tomorrow, just as the other structures will.
As for the contents of the house- It's a single bedroom house with the bedroom on the second floor. The living area is on the first floor by the stairs up to the next, a balcony resides at the back of the second floor with a garden just beneath it, and up at the roof of the house is a lovely place to relax on a nice bit of greenery. The entrance room is the kitchen and dining room combined. It's a rather compact fit but the house certainly has its own charm for a resident, even if it may be breaking several architectural safety laws by having a tree on top - it isn't like the kind of people living here are too interested in the laws of where they can and can't have trees, after all; what matters is whether it looks nice and impressive, and that's always the case. Priorities, after all. There's more important things to a rich house than mere safety!
(Disclaimer: I may not actually think that in person. Maybe. ...unsure.)

2x1 - Modern Art Police Station:
The 2x1 creation with all the dark and light blue smothering it is a police station, as I had intended on building when I began and already made at the time. It definitely isn't the tidiest but it absolutely represents what I was trying for. I sought after making a build which could be perceived as a collective mix of modern art and effort from the local community to keep it alive and well and healthy altogether, keeping the plant-life for the good of the world while adding the architectural madness one may expect from structures focused entirely on the minds of the modern ingenious. Would it truly stand? Who knows- Not me, for sure, but I'm pretty darn certain that people of the current day could find some way to make it stand, and that, frankly, is all it needs.
The police station itself may not entirely be all that necessary for the community it's meant to represent, because the community cares enough about itself to contribute towards police and the police you could find here care just the same. It's essentially a utopian modern art creation, but at the same time the police could be a part of why it feels so utopian. When residents of the nearby structures pass them on the streets they'll get a smile and a wave, maybe a hello and a greeting and they would return it too, all so truly positive and caring, all while the police watch over the safety of the residents, just in case; just in case, ensuring the citizens live their happy lives while they all look out for each other. The citizens go about their own jobs - factory workers, business people, firefighters, and more, while the police ensure they're free to do so. The city this is from is a positive welcoming community, so while the station has cells, they're rather dusty and more than likely never to get used.
What a happy place~.

1x2 - Cake Cafe:
The 1x2 creation which - as you mayyy - notice - happens to look quite a bit like a cake, is a cafe. Fitting, isn't it? A friend of mine suggested that while I was building the cafe it looked a little like a cake, and I just knew I had to go with it. That idea was brilliant. The cherries on top- the icing- the chocolate drooping down the sides- I couldn't not do that; I would be mad to overlook something so utterly inane and absurd for normal architecture yet so utterly fitting for the style I'm going for. It's modern art, after all. Modern art! I need not be limited by the norms, so a cake it is!
The cafe itself consists of more than enough room for people to eat on the ground floor and purchase the food they want, and there's room on the second floor to do the same too, and on the third floor is a cold drinks stall and a variety of extra tables as well among the gaps between the cherries looming over them, as reminders that they're at the Cake Cafe, relaxing under the sun with their freshly made lemonade and watching the disappearing horizon over the tops of many a city building. Ah, such is life; such is a truly peaceful life.

2x2 - Better, Greener House:
This is a house for people with more money in the city- and they're definitely a lot more common than the poor, because by now they know just how important it is to work together and cooperate and truly put their values and efforts in unity towards everything from helping each other out in daily lives to saving the planet with their healthy, non-polluting ways, To symbolise this they have large and tall trees of their own just the same, among their many truly vibrant gardens and rooftops, showing to the world just how much the world matters to them. They're better people now. They're more self-aware.
...except those who aren't, which may be a large amount who just thought it was some kind of trend, but it sounds nicer to say they're all doing it for good rather than bringing attention to those who don't even know the point. The population is civil anyway so it's probably okay as they'd probably still do it if they knew. I think I can trust them on that.
As for the interior, well, it gets a far more regal bedroom with more room to sleep - perhaps for several -, and an extra smaller bedroom too, alongside its several balconies, rooftop area, kitchen, dining area, mass of garden space and freedom to hide behind their tall bushy fences. Ah, what a life.

1x3 - A Garden, Library, Art Gallery and Mini-Museum:
The people who owned the first of this one weren't really sure what to do. They just knew they wanted art, books, and a place to relax, and they wanted to make do with the land they had- So they did it all. A museum, an art gallery, a library, a garden- they just combined it all together and used their peculiar modern art talents towards the exterior design, showing off that they're the creators - that they made this place, and making it stand out from the others as a more unique locational design. They thought it seemed fair, I guess. I didn't ask them so I'm not too sure.
...anyhow, I'm sure there's not much need to explain what one could find in a garden, library, art gallery or mini-museum, so let's talk about the building process instead and bring some attention to how a considerably portion of it was already planned out before I began and then I just ignored the plan and did what I wanted and, well, this is the result. I had my plans and I had my stubborn defiance of those plans, it seems. Bye bye plans.

2x3 - A Gathering Of Shops With A Park As A Bonus:
Ah, and here are four shops gathered in an area, with a little garden and park on the side, scattered with trees, flowers, a slide, some benches, a swing and maybe even some people- The people part was a joke. This is a ghost town. It's Minecraft. But- well, if there were people, it's pretty likely they'd be here several times a week. It's a splendid place to be after all. A great place to relax at the cafe, an important place to buy various useful things at the supermarket, good for clothes at the clothes shop, fitting for basical needs at the grocery store, and even just a nice place to sit and walk about outside with the splendid garden provided. A lovely location, I'd say - and I'm sure the civilians agree too.
...though perhaps the introverts would be opposed to a crowded marketplace with children yelling and people fluttering about both in and out the buildings throughout the day, so perhaps not all the citizens, but the most of them are fond of it.

As for rotating- there's no issue whatsoever and it was honestly amazing to see it rotate back when I started the first one off and even while working on the other structures for the contest I still haven't gotten used to seeing it happen. I like the auto-rotation a lot... :o My friend who watched also liked it. :) Gheppio's rotation is great.

Now it just needs interior. Just interior to add and it's done. :)
CreditScreenToGif for the "gif" recording, Mineways for the model, Gheppio and PlanetMinecraft for the competition, Gheppio for the world it's built in, and a little world-edit so I could start by building the first house out of wool to get an idea of shape.

2 Update Logs

Version 4 : by Uknownymous 04/27/2020 11:25:27 amApr 27th, 2020

The interior and exteriors of all six of the buildings are now declared complete, with the description for the submission also finished. :) ...although I did end up rushing most of the interiors due to having to do most of it all in 12 hours and that didn't go well for me so a little of it is still not up to the level I would prefer it had been, but it's better than not adding any, I guess. Yay. :)

Thank you for the liking of it and finding it unique enough compared to the rest. :) But unfortunately I didn't get enough judge diamonds even if the rest of the stats are pretty high for the contest so it's already eliminated by now. :p Thank you though. :D

It feels perplexing yet intriguing, unsettling yet appetizing, confusing yet pleasing...
Definitely one of the most interesting builds I've seen in a while!

Ah, I'm glad you think so! I try to build in my own style - whatever that is - as much as possible to try to avoid falling into any of the normal structure designs people do. Like, I like what people usually do - so much of it is epic, like ones I've seen on your account (namely Leutopia and The Duskened Domain) - but because I like it I'd be wayy too subconsciously influenced so I try to avoid it and stick with a more "drooping" and "fluid" shaping for my structures, rather than architectural sensibility, yes. So- I am indeed glad to know you find the cake appetizing. XD Thank you. :)
