YunRao, historically used to be a part of Huizhou (an ancient Chinese state), is now located in south of An Hui providence. Historical tea and salt trade route made the town prosperous, and gave birth to famous and wealthy Hui-merchants.
The local Hui-style architectures features white walls and cyan tiles, including famous scenic spots such as Hu's Ancestral Hall, Tao's Ancestral Hall, YunRao Archways Complex, and YingHu Academy. Yun Rao, although not as famous as Xidi and Hongcun, is now a great scenic place for art and architectural studies. (The part above are totally fictional)
We have consulted various architectual and historical literatures, and conducted field studies of Xidi and Hongcun. In the course of two years for creating a complete layout of the town YunRao, we recreated ancestral halls, academies, archways, and traditional residences. We created totally unique architectural designs for every building in the town, featuring complete interior decorations for several halls, making it the latest masterpiece of InnovaCreation.
