"The Gods can be merciful, but only if shown favour first. You start your Minecraft adventure on this not so God forsaken island, and you must gather resources before you can venture out into the wide world."
You start with no tool recipes unlocked besides your trusty wooden sword and you essentially do "quests" for the Gods by sacrificing items.
Want a wooden axe? Slay some of the drowned invading the island!
Want a stone shovel? Use the wooden shovel you've unlocked to get your hands dirty.
I am an extreme beginner with Command Blocks so excuse my idiocy as I literally started yesterday. This is a very very simple map that I made for personal use. I wanted to share it though :)

I know this is convenient for me to say (as a noobie command coder), but I think there's a bug where...

If you want to create a charcoal torch, you need to type /recipe give @p minecraft:torch
