James Webb Space Telescope - Detailed and accurate build in Minecraft.

The James Webb Space Telescope is the most powerful space telescope ever built.

Webb will use infrared light, which cannot be perceived by the human eye, to study every phase in cosmic history.

The telescope will find the first galaxies that formed in the early universe and peer through dusty clouds to see stars forming planetary systems.

Webb will focus on four main areas: first light in the universe, assembly of galaxies in the early universe, birth of stars and protoplanetary systems, and planets (including the origins of life.)

The powerful James Webb Space Telescope is also expected to take amazing photos of celestial objects like its predecessor, the Hubble Space Telescope. Luckily for astronomers, the Hubble Space Telescope remains in good health and it's probable that the two telescopes will work together for JWST's first years. JWST will also look at exoplanets that the Kepler Space Telescope found, or follow up on real-time observations from ground space telescopes.

The James Webb Space Telescope is the product of an impressive international collaboration between NASA, the European Space Agency (ESA), and the Canadian Space Agency. According to NASA, the JWST involved over 300 universities, organizations and companies across 29 U.S. states and 14 countries. The nominal duration for the James Webb Space Telescope is five years but the goal is 10 years According to ESA.

For an accurate, well sized and full of details creation I firstly made a skeleton of the build, just making a few lines of blocks. Once the skeleton of the build had an accurate size, I started filling it with details.

NOTE: This build is NOT to scale

This block representation is an accurate and well proportioned model of the full deployed James Webb Space Telescope.

To make it look good, I was constantly checking if every block was right and looking for reference points. I used a 3D model which you can check out right now: https://artsandculture.google.com/asset/james-webb-space-telescope-3d-model/RQHfmLBYzpnmbA

If you wonder why the "bottom" of the telescope is fully lighted up and the entire "top" with the main mirror is completely dark, it's because the actual model looks like this. The James Webb is 90º tilted down and the bottom part is actually facing the sun, while the top and the mirrors are facing into the darkness of the space. I told you this was an accurate model, didn't I?

It was really complicated to make everything look proportionate and detailed, but I think I managed to get a good result!
The building process and investigation took around 15h.
If you have any questions, thoughts and suggestions, let me know them all in the comments below.

Version: +1.18.1

For a better experience, I recommend using Complementary shaders and any texture pack that connects the textures of the blocks.
