Start in a small house, don't sleep, or you're not going to have any fun. If you do, congrats, you're great at cheating. Have a cookie. Anyway, Follow the torches, over the river, through the jungle to the safety of the the cabin. You'll find it. Oh, did I mention that there are mob spawners of sorts all around the vicinity? Have Fun!
