With the in-universe PR blurb out of the way, hi! For anyone who still remembers me, it's been a while. I've been hard at work on this map for 2 years to push it to a level of quality beyond anything I've ever made before, and I think it'll show. I've taken every ounce of knowledge and experience working on EverythingJPark's Nublar map (also of high quality, check it out) and strived to make every scene from the classic movie as exact as I can possibly make it, to a point where I hopefully won't have to work on another of these suckers ever again.

Some Mildly Important Info:

-at about 12 miles long and 9 miles wide (with a total map size of 19,888 x 19,854), this is most likely the largest Jurassic Park map ever made, whether in Minecraft or any other game. It's larger than the typical 8-mile-long statistic often quoted, but this was done in order to give myself a great deal of extra room in designing and implementing some of the movie's larger landmarks, and to ensure everything fits together neatly and realistically.

-This map is strictly based upon the original movie, with minor creative embellishments for facilities not directly depicted. There are no locations from either Jurassic Park: The Game or Jurassic World featured, which is why I hesitate to call this the most "accurate" JP map as both JPTG and JW are canon installments in the franchise. However, it does give me a great degree of flexibility in how I approach the map's construction, as it limits the number of locations I have to recreate and keeps the general map design consistent.

-This map will NOT contain any dinosaurs. It is not designed to, and while you're free to use JurassiCraft or F/A or the upcoming Project: Nublar if you wish, do be warned that you'll have a heck of a time trying to manage them.

-This map requires Minecraft 1.12 or newer.

-Contrary to the PR blurb, I don't actually know when this map will release. I'm sure those of you who are familiar with the general track record of JP Minecraft maps are probably groaning to yourselves right now, but don't worry. I have no present or future obligations to worry about at the moment (thanks, COVID), so I have essentially unlimited time to work on this map. With any luck, it should be complete either by the end of this year or the very beginning of next year.

-The other two JP maps I created may or may not be bundled with this one when it releases, so interested folk can compare how my maps have evolved over time. It depends on how bloated I want the download size to be, however; the current iteration of the map already takes up a considerable 6.08 GB of space on my computer, so I may end up making new PMC pages for both. I initially took them down so that EJP's map wouldn't have to share space with 3 other maps of a similar design goal (though not quality), but that was when I believed this map wouldn't take several years to actually complete. Regardless, both maps WILL be making a return upon the completion of this one, in one way or another!

That's about all I have to say for now. This description will change as I continue to work on this map, and despite the above screenshots I have a great deal of work left to do that is in an unpresentable state at the moment. Your patience, however, WILL pay off. Mark my words.

Preview Build Coming Soon : 08/08/2020 10:15:37 pmAug 8th

Because I'm unoriginal, I've decided to make a preview download of the map so folks can get a sense of what the map is like before it's fully finished. This preview download will consist of the Visitor Center, Safari Lodge, Iguanodon Inn, Jungle River Cruise, Raptor Pen, Maintenance Shed, Geothermal Plant, and the entire Brachiosaurus Paddock, all of which are nearing completion. This should be ready in about a week or two.

Sonic Ether's Unbelievable Shaders (SEUS for short). I’ll be replacing these screenshots with ones rendered in Chunky, a screenshot generator, at a later date once the map is updated to 1.16.

You can create the Sorkin's Lab and the Parasaurolophus Pens of JPTG, and you know when the map will be available, else good job.
