Welcome,
This is a maze based adventure map
(if you hate mazes don't play this! ;) )
It is divided in several chapters, each one is a maze,
different from the others in difficulty, structure and architecture.
During your journey collect documents (reports, diaries etc)
to uncover the story.
Try to find all of them!
Mission Objectives
Hi Agent,
The government lost all contacts with a high-security research laboratory 6 days ago.
Safety measures imposed them to wait until now to intervene.
Ironically, we do not have the security clearance to know what is the topic of their research.
You have to:
- reach the place passing through the sewers
- unlock access to the labs
- find what happened to the scientists
- report back to HQ
Good luck.
Currently available:
- PROLOGUE - The laboratory
- CHAPTER 1 - Ground floor
- CHAPTER 2 - Reaching the Main Square
- CHAPTER 3 - A way up
Are you lost? Guide available in world folder and here!
Chapter Selection
A system of chapter selection has been implemented!
Between the chapters, in non-obvious places, you'll find signs with passwords, you can use them to restore your progress in newer version of the map and to go directly to the chapter of your interest.
In the starting room you'll have access to the selection room, then grab a piece of paper, write your password on it and put it into the machine.
If you inserted a valid password you'll be teleported to the selected location!
There is also a complete list of passwords at the end of the available chapters.

Are you having performance problems?
Try downloading the lite version here
It contains only the mazes of chapters 1,2,3; all unnecessary blocks have been cut off and your minecraft should run it better!

Good stuff!
Now that summer is finished I'll start working on the next chapters, they'll be more similar to chapter 2 for difficulty and size so don't worry! ;-)
Maybe one day we'll discover the truth!
Thanks anyway, Ontvlambaar! :-D
The concept of being inside of a giant fractal makes the mazes much more interesting. Usually maze-based maps aren't all that interesting, but starting at Chapter 2, the atmosphere really becomes quite unique. I like it.
...though, I think Chapter 3 is a bit disproportionately hard.
I'm glad you are appreciating the map and it's atmosphere the same way as when I built it!
You're right, normal mazes can be monotonous but this is different: small corridors are all similar to each other, and this makes you to get lost, but I made sure that around each corner there is a window or a balcony facing some unique structure or feature (main square, the spindle, etc.) so that you can always have an idea of where you are and try to draw a mental map of the place. In this way it's not the always identical, passive, corridor exploration simulator.
Ascending the fractal, spaces will become bigger and imposing, and future mazes will adapt to these geometries.
Loving maze-design, I admit I got quite carried away in the construction of chapter 3 XDI promise to keep the next updates around the same difficulty of chapter 2 and maybe increase it only in the last chapter. For now, you can use the guide to help you find the right entrance (it's a map with no solution so I don't consider it cheating ;-) ), and if you are really stuck, I've just uploaded the video solution!
Pls fix this.
