This palace was built between 1784 and 1805 to serve as Chile's first mint. In 1845, it became the country's Government house and presidential residence, a function it still fulfills today. It is located in the city center, next to two squares and the city's biggest avenue. It's probably Santiago's most famous landmark, due to its great history and architecture.
