Lava Race is a relatively simple mini-game that combines parkour and PVP into one. Each person selects a team, and once the starting button has been pressed, you have to make your way to the other side as fast as you can with the stack of glass you where given. Feel free to punch other players into the lava, or build a wall - whatever you wan't. First team to reach the other side and step on the pressure plate wins. After a game is won, press the reset button, and start again.

Before you start, make sure everyone is in survival mode. If you die, you automatically go into the spectating ring. So its only one life for each player.

Even though it may look very open, everything is protected with barrier blocks, so you can not go over the edge or anything.

The game can be played with 2+ players, although ideally with an even number.

I have only tested this in single player, so if you experience any glitches are something in multiplayer, feel free to let me know. Who knows, maybe I accidentally put an @p instead of an @a somewhere in a command block. :)

I did not come up with the general idea. The idea of a lava race map was created by SwipeShotTeam. I just thought that I could improve some aspects of it, mostly by simplifying how it works and making the map look more futuristic.

But yeah. I'd love it if you could give it a try, and let me know how it goes. Thanks!

(Please note - This is an outdated map which was built for Minecraft 1.8, and might not work properly in more recent versions)

I changed it so that when you reset the map, it also resets your inventory and potion effects. That way people can not start before they are supposed to.

Ah yes, I'm sorry I should have mentioned that. A long time ago I saw some YouTubers playing that map, thought it was a cool idea, and by the time I'd finished my own variation of it, I had completely forgot where I got the original idea. I've since added credit in the description.
